The Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS) held a members event in Central London on Wednesday 19th March. ALS Environmental exhibited at the event which was targeted at current and potential members of the AGS and was an ideal educational and networking event for our Contaminated Land customers.

The AGS is a non-profit making trade association. Established with the aim to improve the profile and quality of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering the members come from a broad spectrum of disciplines and an array of organisations with a common interest in the business of:

• Site Investigation,
• Geotechnics,
• Geoenvironmental Engineering,
• Engineering Geology,
• Geochemistry,
• Hydrogeology.

Several key people from ALS Environmental attended the event including Andrew Horobin, our Organics Chemistry Operations Manager and Terri Marshall from our contaminated land team who has managed multiple high profile remediation and site investigation projects over a ten year period. Also in attendance was Dr James Taylor who has vast experience in Onsite Tools such as the Portable Niton XRF and the Sitelab UVF 3100.
