Rickard Olofsson

Managing Director

Rickard Olofsson has over 15 years’ experience of the laboratory business. He joined as an Analyst in 1999 as a part of R&D studies and progressed to cover production management, operations management and further on European Business and Operations to work across all regions in Europe.

He has been involved with extensive production setups and process efficiency programs and the past five years focused on business Integrations and organisational development.

Lisa Clarke

General Manager

Lisa joined the business in 1989 as an Analyst and has progressed through the company over the last 25 years, holding posts in Drinking Water, Contaminated Land and Account Management.

In 2010 she was part of the team who successfully bid for the Yorkshire Water contract and managed the Wakefield operation from 2010 until her appointment as Operations Director in 2011.

Christopher Caird

Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Director

Chris Caird was appointed as Quality Director in 2010 and assumed responsibility for HSE compliance in 2012.

Chris has over 20 years’ experience in a number compliance and regulatory affairs roles and prior to joining ALS Chris was Group Quality Manager for the Forensic Science Service. As well as his background in regulatory compliance Chris also has significant experience in process improvement and organisational change management.

A bio-chemist by training, Chris also represents ALS on a number of industry technical committees.

Nick Barsby

Sales & Marketing Manager

A member of the Water Management Society, Nick has over 9 years’ experience in the Environmental sector and has been involved in several high profile developments at ALS including the launch of the MALDI-ToF, overhaul of the company website and the introduction of our OnSite Training modules.

A Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) and member of the Eastern Land Quality Forum (ELQF) Nick has a broad knowledge of the remediation, waste and microbiological sectors.

Paul Holland

HR Manager

Paul joined the senior team in March 2011 bringing extensive business acumen from both the public and private sectors. He has worked the vast majority of his career within Financial Services and became an HR practitioner by accident in 2000.

Paul has significant experience and a proven track record in delivering large scale change and transformation projects encapsulating all aspects of business restructuring.

Neil Spencer

Finance Director

Neil became Financial Controller in November 2009 and brings significant financial and commercial expertise to the executive team.

Prior to joining the company he was Finance Manager at Quest Diagnostics Ltd and has international business experience having worked and studied in the USA for four years.

Neil is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
