Free CPD Training for OnSite Analysis Tools

May 9, 2014

The use of OnSite analytical tools on contaminated land projects is laid out in the Framework for the use of rapid measurement techniques (RMT) in the risk management of land contamination issued by the Environment Agency. This demonstrates the use of RMTs within a structured risk management process outlined in Model Procedures for the Management of Land Contamination (CLR11) guidance. Under the framework the use of OnSite analytical tools in conjunction with UKAS accredited laboratory analysis is approved.

At ALS Environmental we have a portfolio of OnSite tools for hire and for the first time we are offering FREE CPD TRAINING for use with our in-situ analytical devices.

Our portfolio of OnSite analytical tools includes:

Under the guidance an RMT is a tool or technique that can provide additional site information in real time. The RMT guidance states that the user of OnSite tools must be trained by an appropriately qualified person. In order to use these OnSite tools effectively and safely you are required to be trained by our OnSite trainers and Radiation Protection Supervisors (RPS), Dr James Taylor and Nick Barsby.

To coincide with the launch of our FREE CPD OnSite Traning ALS have also launched an updated Contaminated Land brochure. Senior Business Development Manager at ALS Environmental Nick Barsby notes:

We feel that the use of RMTs, such as the portable XRF and the SiteLAB in major infrastructure projects will grow over the coming months and years. In order to ensure that the market is in a position to make the most of this development we want to offer our customers and potential customers the chance to be trained on the latest OnSite analytical tools.
