ALS are pleased to announce that our ISO17025  accreditation including DWTS and MCERTS covering our activities in Coventry, Otterbourne and field services activities have been renewed by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). During autumn of 2016 our laboratories were subject to a full reassessment by UKAS. In total our quality management system was audited for over 22 person days by a multidiscipline audit team of 8 independent technical experts.

In addition this was the first time we have been audited as a laboratory group so the audit also addressed our ability to maintain quality standards on a cross site basis.

Pleasingly no major areas of concern were identified and we received a lot of positive feedback relating to the competence and capability of our analytical staff.

All of the areas requiring improvement have now been fully addressed to UKAS’ satisfaction and so our accreditation status has been reconfirmed for the next four years.
