Following recent annual assessments conducted at our Legionella laboratory in Coventry, ALS Environmental are pleased to announce the extension of our annual membership with the Legionella Control Association (LCA) until August 2014.

In recent years the UK has experienced outbreaks of Legionnaires disease causing health issues for affected individuals and therefore a general public health concern. Our membership with the LCA demonstrates our commitment to the Water Treatment industry into combating Legionella and other waterbourne bacteria.

The management of Legionella is covered by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Control of Substance Hazardous to Health Regulations, with more specific details issued in the Health Standard Committees Approved Code of Practice and Guidance (ACOP L8), issued by the HSE in January 2001.
