ALS Environmental to Sponsor Contaminated Land Event

Feb 10, 2015

The East Land Quality Forum (ELQF) is the premier contaminated land forum in the East of England. ALS Environmental have had representation within the group from its conception back in 2010.

The next ELQF meeting, on Tuesday 17th March 2015, will be held at the Deaf and Blind Centre in Peterborough from 10:00 and ALS Environmental are proud to be sponsors of the free to attend event.

The next ELQF event will focus on the recent Suitable for Use Levels (S4ULs), Category 4 Screening Levels (C4SLs) and Soil Guideline Values (SGV) and their use in Part IIAs and human health rsk assessments. ALS Environmental are able to offer a broad range of OnSite Analysis tools, such as PetroFLAG, XRF & SiteLAB UVF 3100, to hire or purchase that can be used to establish if any parameters could breach any of these site thresholds.

ALS Environmental's Dr James Taylor will be chairing the event as well as providing a presentation on how OnSite analytical tools can be a vital first step in the understanding of potential contamination or how you can use this data to identify potential hot-spots. Upon the announcement of ALS Environmental sponsoring the ELQF event Dr Taylor comments:

The ELQF has been a group that ALS have been invovled in since its inception in 2010, we are proud to be able to sponsor this event and support the Deaf & Blind Centre at the same time.

The opportunity to speak to such a diverse and broad range of contaminated land experts about OnSite analysis is a real honour and pleasure.

The ELQF group has over 300 members from many different companies, consultants, local authorities and government agencies across the region. ALS Environmental have a track record in supporting regional contaminated land groups; with our own Sue Eakin recently becoming a committee member of the Scottish Contaminated Land Forum (SCLF).
