Its Warming Up Outside & We Are Making Cool Improvements Inside!
Today, the environment and sustainability is a major focus for every industry. Here at ALS our ultimate goal is to make a positive contribution to our society, economy and environment. As a result, we are tackling sustainability in a big way! A key objective of our Sustainability Strategy is to reduce plastic consumption and minimise waste from our laboratory operations.
Our cool boxes are getting even cooler…
ALS Hawarden are introducing “Environmentally Friendly Cool Bags” for the transportation of your samples.
Many of our sister laboratories across the UK and continental Europe have successfully implemented cool bags for sample movement. Now ALS Hawarden are utilising similar designs but with the creation of a bespoke interior for use with standard containers and equipment to best fit with customer sample types.
These sampling cool bags will replace the existing plastic cool boxes previously provided meaning we are swapping from old style plastic cool boxes helping to improve our environmental footprint and logistical performance.
The Environmentally Friendly Cool Bags will be phased in over a period of time this year and they will be provided to you in the same way along with your sampling containers.
The little things really do add up, if we all do our part we can have a truly transformational impact on the environment.
